This book is a tremendous disappointment. It is written at the level of a seventh-grade book report. Repetitive and boring. Wish I had my money back.

Though not my usual field of interest, I nevertheless found this book full of interesting information on a part of the world I honestly know almost nothing about. Theres a lot of information and I read it several times finding it easy to read.

So much information is given in the book that you come away having learned so much. There was so much I didn't know before I read it. This series of books captivates and holds your attention as you wander through the ancient world of Mesopotamia. It even cleared up for me the meaning of a word that can be redefined from a show seen on a television series today. This series of books is definitely worth reading.

Where it all began the cradle of civilization. From modern day Iraq where the Garden of Eden was located. Everything sprang from Mesopotamia & it’s effects are still being felt & seen toaayv. Excellent information contained in these books to get a great overview of this area so rich in history !

This set goes into the area that is now what is considered the Middle east. This area has a lot of history to which this set goes into. A recommended read.

I love these books. This is a way to learn about history with out getting bogged down.

I have a lot of Christopher Hart books. I love them all, but this is my favorite. I often challenge myself to work on drawing figures, so I have looked at a lot of figure drawing books over the years. This is an amazing reference! Sooooooo helpful! He really outdid himself this time. Plus, his drawings are so appealing. I highly recommend this book!!!

Let's be honest, ANY Christopher Hart book you get is going to be full of essential drawing instruction. He always provides the best tips and tricks that will simplify sketching. This book covers the basics of drawing people and is easy to follow with straightforward instruction. I love how he breaks everything down, making it so simple to add your well-sketched people to any artwork. From eyes to noses and tips for hips to proportion guidelines, this book has you covered with tips. I love that he adds so many sketches in his books...plus adds a pop of color which makes it fun. I sketch with my 10 year old daughter and we both love this book. We both highly recommend any of the Figure It Out! books in his series - and pretty much any other book of his.

I started out thinking I'd be able to draw perfectly the first time but now see that even for professionals there is a lot of erasing and adjusting. Chris shows you how to do faces, facial features, bodies, poses and different clothing. I didn't realize there was so much to it all, but when it's explained it seems so obvious. I like how simple the drawings are made to do and feel like I can soon start creating my own characters with practice. Drawing and art can be intimidating when you first start out but there is a lot that this book can teach that will make it less intimidating and more fun to explore and get to know your own style of artwork.

This book is Amazing by an Amazing Author. Christophers books are always so informative and this book is colorful which gets me excited to use it not just black & white which for me is very boring. Christopher always explains everything in the simplest way and includes finished pictures which I love this book is so great for someone who is looking to widen thier artistic skills on side profiling, poses and my worse enemy Eyes. He shows a few diffrent style eyes and shows how to draw. If you are in the search for a Human portions book this is it. You could get his other books if youd like they are a great essential as well.

I just love this book. This is my second Figure It Out book by Christopher Hart and I just love them. This book is so helpful. I can flip to any section depending on what part of the human figure I am drawing and instantly have a plethora of drawing lessons at the tips of my fingers. From drawing noses to more advanced full figure poses, this book is great for anyone wanting to build their drawing skills. I used to think drawing people was impossible, but I have learned so much following the easy steps in this book that my drawings really look great. I highly recommend this book!

I recieved this book to review for a giveaway. Let me tell you as an artist that has a good amount of knowledge of the human figure this book is good for beginners and intermediate artists. You will learn about proportions of the head and body as well as different poses. The tips and tricks shown in this book help greatly. I love this book. I would recommend it to anyone that wishes to learn how to draw the human figure in an easy and simple way. Even kids will understand it because of the amount of pictures and demonstrations shown. I'm an amateur drawer and sketcher and have purchased many of Chris Hart's books over the years. This one is my favorite so far because he gets into the nitty-gritty of the tiniest detail, like the bottom eyelid, for instance. The book is chockful of tips, but none of the pages feel too stuffed with info. I highly commend the overall book design as well as the content. Out of all the books I have on drawing, I plan to refer to this one the most until I "level up."
