Extremely disappointed with this product. Although I knew it was used, I assumed that it would contain all of the pages. More than half of the games in the book were torn out! I never would have bought it if I knew it was missing so many pages. Many of the games I can’t use because they aren’t there. That was the point to if the buying the book. I can’t use instructions fir games without the actually pages.

Colorful and engaging games for early and emergent readers. Centers are great to use at home or at school. Kids benefit from the repeated practice and love the fun game format of these activities.

This has some great activities in it for kids, but is a lot of prep work for the teacher. If you have time to do the laminating, cutting and organizing it is worth it.

This is a wonderful product that I highly recommend for k-1 teachers. I teach kindergarten in a district with high readers so the 1-2 level has been perfect for what we teach. I am planning on purchasing more of these types of books from the same series, perhaps the literacy centers next.

This is not meant to replace your regular life planner - no weekly spreads to detail out your days (though Meera has included a digital bonus with an hourly incremental page included).First impressions is that it's a perfect size to keep on your desk, with plenty of room to write everything you need. Definitely love the soft matte cover - less intimidating to use and abuse every day. Paper weight is nice, not too lightweight so I'm not afraid of tearing it anytime I turn a page.Meera has included key CREATE spaces to brainstorm alongside your planning boxes, which really makes me think I'll use this planner more often out of habit and comfort. I've been at Stage 0 in blogging for months now because of the health issues of myself and my husband plus the lack of true clarity that every beginning blogger goes through - I feel like I've ordered this planner at the perfect time in my biz to get a handle on things and follow through with what I need to do and track.I've labeled the spine of my planner already with "Year One" because I can already see myself buying another one next year - it's that good, plus it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Anyone who's ready to get their head into business would be happy to have this planner at their side! **disclosure - I've been a Meera fangirl for almost a year now. Like every resource, I have read of Meera Kothand's the Create Planner provides practical insight and instruction to help you organize your blog and/or business. What sets the Create planner apart from a typical planner is that Meera helps you determine what should be your priority focus based on your growth stage. The planner has plenty of space to write and plan. It's a comprehensive 1-year planner that includes not just planning space but also forms to review and evaluate. I like that she always includes bonus materials with her products. Although it has no impact on the material, I do wish the planner included some color but the black and white color scheme is intentional. It would be nice to have a spiral bound as well. This a great resource for the beginner and more established blogger as well.

The content of the workbook is organized and very helpful. I like that the monthly planning pages are undated so that you can start anywhere in the year and make full use of the 12 months ahead. In the front of the workbook, there are several exercises to clarify the purpose of your blog to help you pinpoint the direction of your posts.However, the reason I am not giving it five stars is because of the workbook itself. There are several all black pages with white chapter headings which I would have preferred to have been on white paper for extra places to write notes.There are many blank pages to take notes but they are a mid-tone grey with gridded white dots. I like to write in pencil and there is not enough contrast between the pencil and the pages to make it legible.I would like to see this offered in a smaller version so that it would be easier to travel with.

Once I have a plan of action I'll fill it out. Seems to be organized. Only down side is that the paper is so thin that highlighters bleed through a little

I feel like she designed this just for me! Thank you, Meera! In the beginning of 2017, I started with a seemingly similar planner but had trouble with focusing on what I needed to accomplish. Meera's approach really assisted me to arrange, develop & succeed in this arena. It is difficult to argue with that!Customer service is VERY important to me. It always has been. With Meera's approach, you are really able to cultivate growth while also connecting with your audience which is always a WINNER in my book.All of that to me, while working hard to grow my business is worth six stars, easy!Wait until you see the actual planner itself. That is a DOUBLE WOWZA! It is absolutely stunning. The planner itself is award-winning in itself. I never considered myself a connoisseur of nicely designed books. I am an avid reader so maybe that has been because a lot of books simply are not this nice? Bravo, Meera! While that does not make a book, planner or a guide worth buying on its own. It does make me feel great every time I am reading it, planning with it or successfully implementing with it. You would think this would be reflected in the price, however, it is not. So, I threw in another "visualized" star on account of the quality & creativity inside & outside of this book. That is seven stars so far, btw!Seriously though, if you were most likely wondering if I would recommend CREATE to you? lol The answer would be an overwhelming YES! The small investment is worth every penny. You also do not have to wait for a new year to start using it as there are no printed dates which is another BIG plus!Enjoy the planner & StaySm:)in!

This is the tenth volume in the Ancient Magus Bride series. I really enjoyed this volume in the Ancient Magus Bride series a lot. This starts a new story arc for the series with Chise starting to attend mage school.In this volume we see the conversations that led up to Chise’s choice to attend school, her first days at school, and meet a ton of new characters (which I may struggle to remember because they were introduced very rapidly).We also get to learn a lot more about magic and alchemy which I really enjoyed. Additionally we learn a bit more about Elias's past.The illustration remains incredible; such wonderful detail through...I absolutely loved it.Overall this was a wonderful installment in the Ancient Magus Bride series. I enjoyed it immensely and can’t wait to see where the story goes from here. I think fans of the Black Butler manga series would also enjoy this series a lot.

With this volume, a new story line gets underway as Chise starts attending a college for alchemists and Elias also heads there to lecture. We meet a number of new people at the school and Chise has to learn how to handle life with other students. As for Elias, he gives a fascinating talk contrasting alchemists and mages. There also seems to be a few new threats coming into the lives of Chise and Elias. I did not think this volume was as strong as the previous one but there is enough promising groundwork to this new saga that makes me want to see how it develops in upcoming volumes.

A wonderful beginning for this new arch! The art, as usual, is outstanding and so lush. The story pulls you in and doesn't let you go. I can't wait to read volume 11!

Chise is back, and still cute and funny as ever! This volume is a great beginning to a new story arc. Just as entertaining as the other volumes, I found myself with a few good laughs within the first couple minutes of reading. Seeing the relationships between returning characters is extremely entertaining, and meeting the new characters has me wondering where the story will go from here. The story is flowing nicely, and I can't wait to see what's next.

The worldbuilding continues to flesh out and explore facets of the environment mentioned in the first story arc. School! Church!

This is the 10th volume of the Ancient Magus Bride series.This volume has the distinction of being entirely new content that did not appear in the anime adaption. Having started with the anime then fully catching up on the manga, I was worried that a continuation of the story would not be as good. After reading this volume, I can say that my worries have passed and I am looking forward to the following volumes!

I have fond memories of growing up with these stories in Korea. I now have a son and wanted to try to kindle his love of reading and fuel his appreciation of a good story. He's still an infant but I read these and other non-board books to him and he looks at the pictures and listens to my voice. These stories are charming to my admittedly biased ears filtered through layers of nostalgia. Beyond the substance of the stories, the writing style is fluid although some obscure words are used and the illustrations are stylized almost as if a grade schooler drew them. There was at least 1 inaccuracy where a male character was wearing a female outfit. Strange since the illustrator's name is Korean...Overall, a great addition to our growing library and I hope my son will ask for see stories once he's able to speak up.

This book helped me to understand more of the great culture of Korea where I'm currently stationed. I like using children's literature as a way of understanding traditional culture (helpful in any country you might be living in temporarily). Illustrations are beautiful as well. A great collection of stories! But, if your child is adopted, you may want to skip the 2 stories in the book that describe adopted kids in less-than-favorable terms (sadly, a cultural reality in Korea, adopted children are considered "undesirable"). Still, this large-formatted, hard-covered book is a treasure trove of stories and fables that describe life in the great country of Korea!

The illustrations are beautiful! One thing to note - we bought this book as a gift for a young girl adopted from Korea; several of the stories refer to adopted children, usually compared unfavorably with biologically-born siblings. Because of this, the book might be more appropriate for older children, with whom parents can have a discussion about the story after reading it together.

The stories in Korean Children's Favorite Stories are exciting and the artwork is engaging. My sons enjoy my reading stories from this collection at night before they go to bed, and they enjoy reading the book themselves. I am a scholar of early Korea, and I have read lots of collections of Korean folk tales. This is a great book. The stories in the collection are written with panache, humor, and good English sensibility.

I bought this for my 6 year old daughter so she could explore and understand a bit of her culture. She is only half Korean, but is showing an interest in the mainstream pop culture from Korea. I wanted to introduce something more literary to her so I decided to buy this on a whim. So far we both are enjoying and loving this book. Although she can read, this book is a bit advanced for her considering that most of the pages are covered in words and some of the vocabulary is too advanced. I read one story to her every night, and she enjoys it immensely. The stories are only 3-4 pages long, but consider that most of the pages are 80% covered in words, like I mentioned before. The art is just... amazing! I cannot express how much I like every picture; the detail, color contrast, and just the style is beautiful. The book itself has about 100 pages, and we've only been through about half of the book. I am so glad I purchased this book. We both are learning something new together and I like the fact that we can discuss the morals and meanings of what each story is trying to tell after we read one. This was a great purchase, and one that anyone should buy if they're looking for a great introduction in children's literature from Korea.

Don't read them to your kids if they are easily scared or susceptible to nightmares.

Lovely book. Great for exposure of different cultures than your own.

About the Author

Dan Jenkins is the author of ten novels, including Semi-Tough, Dead Solid Perfect, The Money-Whipped Steer-Job Three-Jack Give-Up Artist, and Slim and None. He has also published seven books of nonfiction, most notably Fairways and Greens and The Dogged Victims of Inexorable Fate and writes an enduringly popular monthly column for Golf Digest. Jenkins is the recipient of the William D. Richardson Award from the Golf Writers Association of America, which recognizes those who have consistently made outstanding contributions to golf. I'm still pissed that they used Jill Clayburgh in the movie, and Kris Kristoferson was ok. The book is 20 times better than the movie and this beauty started an amazing run of fast read, entertaining, bawdy and insightful books from Dan Jenkins. Not for the prudish, under 16 or the faint of heart - Dan's books talk the way people talk and you get the characters in every way. A must read for anyone who enjoys a sports story that will have you laughing outloud. Just ask my cat, TJ. He was 27 pounds, and stretched nose to tail the full width of a love seat. TJ Lambert had to be the inspiration for my monster cat! Grab this, then Limo, then Baja Oklahoma and you won't need any prodding to keep grabbing Dan's work from the sellers on Amazon.

I am an English teacher and I love "great books." I also like to read books just for fun. I first experienced Semi-Tough when it came out in 1970 and thought it was one of the funniest books I had ever read. Over the years I lost my copy, and recently I got to missing Billy Clyde, Barbara Jane, Shake Tiller, Puddin Patterson -- hell, even Bubba Littleton -- so I ordered a new copy. It was just as entertaining this time and it was like running into an old friend and finding out you love them just as much now as you did back in the day. Warning: parts of Semi-Tough are, shall we say, crude. But it is all in fun and no one should be offended. The point - besides sheer entertainment -- is not to take football, ourselves, or even life its ownself too seriously.Now excuse me while I go chase some wool.

I've read most of Dan Jenkins's books and manage to re-read Semi-Tough every couple of years or so. Its not classic literature but it is fun. I noticed this time through within the current vibes of the 20-teens that I was put-off by the constant use of the n-word and the bigotry displayed. Not sure a publisher would touch it today. Still its a good look at professional football and the legend of chicken fried steak with cream gravy.

I had read this many years ago & laughed my **s off! Wise cracks "Texasisms" and the "bidness" of football!

This is a rollicking, extremely funny story set in the world of pro football, with a Texas twang. I loved every page of it.

It's rare to find a sports novel that I like and it is even rarer to find a novel that maintains a comic viewpoint. I read it when it was new and I enjoyed rereading it again.

Dan Jenkins captures the NFL like no other here. Great characters, fun story, and great humor.

One of my favorite sports books of all time! Completely politically incorrect for the present, but hilarious nonetheless!
